Ryan Stevenson scored two first-half goals as Partick Thistle thrashed Inverness 4-0 and brought their long unbeaten home run to an end. Two efforts from Stevenson and second-half goals from Gary Fraser and Conrad Balatoni gave Thistle their second win over Inverness this season and prevented the Caley from moving level with the Premiership leaders, Celtic. With Caley one of the most impressive sides in the top flight this season, few would have banked on the 4-0 scoreline. Inverness had been unbeaten at home since April.

Ross County’s Tony Dingwall denied Motherwell a welcome victory for Ian Baraclough, their new manager, when he struck his second goal of the game, and his senior career, in the final seconds at Fir Park. Baraclough watched from the stand as two goals in six second-half minutes from John Sutton and Henrik Ojamaa edged Motherwell towards a five-point deficit over the bottom side. However, Dingwall struck from 14 yards three minutes into injury time to seal a 2-2 draw and lift County above St Mirren.

A late penalty from Brian Graham gave St Johnstone three points and allowed the visitors to climb above Kilmarnock and into sixth place. The result was cruel on Killie, who were searching for their first home win since October and pressed forward from the start. The key moment came in the 82nd minute when Michael O’Halloran went down in the penalty area. The referee, Don Robertson, pointed straight to the spot, allowing Graham to thrash his kick down the middle for the winning goal, leaving Kilmarnock to rue their spurned chances.

Hamilton returned to winning form at New Douglas Park as they held on for a hard-earned three points from a narrow 2-1 victory over Dundee. In a great start for the home side Tony Andreu opened the scoring after three minutes with his 10th goal of the season before a fine volley from Mickaël Antoine-Curier doubled their lead soon after. The half-time substitute Greg Stewart hauled Dundee back into the match with a superb individual effort but, despite some late pressure, the Dens Park men could not salvage a point from the contest. The victory means Hamilton stay in fifth, one point behind Aberdeen, and the defeat for Dundee sees them drop to eighth in the Premiership table.
