Scottish pundits agree on Rangers' Ryan Kent transfer situation amid Leeds United links

Scottish pundits Ally McCoist and Charlie Adam both agree that Rangers may have to sell Ryan Kent after the club crashed out of the Champions League.

Leeds United have been linked with Kent on numerous occasions, with McCoist alluding to the fact that it's a rumour which just won't go away.

And the former Gers' manager once again brought up Marcelo Bielsa's team following Rangers' 4-2 aggregate defeat to Malmo in the Champions League qualification stage, with Steven Gerrard's men bowing out.

The Athletic have already suggested that failure to qualify for the group stage has left Rangers exposed to losing Kent or striker Alfredo Morelos, possibly even both, and namechecked Leeds.

Rangers legend McCoist also mentioned Leeds when speaking on talkSPORT the morning after the game.

He said: “Kent they spent a few quid on from Liverpool. But obviously the rumours are that Leeds are still hovering around and are interested in taking him.”

Meanwhile, pundit and current Dundee player Adam has questioned whether Kent might even have ‘had his head turned’ by interest whilst sharing his disappointment that the winger hasn’t started this season in the scintillating form that he showed last term.

He told the BBC: “I thought he was going to have a good season, but has his head been turned? From where? There’s nobody there for him at the moment. I know they had a big offer from Leeds last summer for him and he told the club he didn’t want to go.”
