Scottish pub blames 'clerical error' for closure as administrators called in

UNCERTAINTY surrounds the future of a Scottish pub after liquidators were appointed.

The Glen Tavern in Dunfermline is currently closed and a petition to wind the business up has been heard at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

RSM UK Restructuring Advisory LLP have now been appointed interim liquidators.

A post on the venue's Facebook page on Friday said they had been forced to close due to a "clerical error".

It added: "We were hoping it was going to be resolved today but it is now looking to be more like a few days sorry for any inconvenience this has caused we will update as soon as possible."

A post on Monday added: "We will be trying our best to reopen as soon as possible we know it has been a inconvenience to a lot of people but please be assured we are trying to fix the problem we will keep you updated when we know anything our sincere apologies."
