The awards which take place in February will bring together all parts of the industry including developers, funders, agents, architects, councils professional advisors and contractors.

Scottish Business Insider will again be the media partner for what is the Seventh Scottish Property Awards.

Entries are now being sought in advance of the judging day in November, which will be chaired for the fifth year by Fiona Morton, the former managing partner of Ryden and now chair of law firm Gillespie MacAndrew.

Industry veteran Alan Robertson will take up the new position as vice chair of the judging panel. Robertson had a 30 year career with JLL, returning to Scotland in 2018 from Dubai where he was CEO of JLL in the Middle East and North Africa.

Now based in Edinburgh, he is a non-executive director of Drum Income Plus REIT and a director of a family-owned company Struan Property.

Fiona Morton said: “The Scottish Property Awards continues to play an important role in the promotion of new property development across Scotland.

“It is a privilege to be part of the very thorough decision-making process involved and I look forward to debating the achievements of a wide range of projects and teams with the judging panel in November. I am especially thrilled to welcome Alan Robertson as our new vice chair of the panel.”

Robertson said: “I’ve been very impressed by the Scottish Property Awards and its independent operation which trusts a large and experienced panel of judges to make the important decisions.

“I am very much looking forward to assessing and ultimately celebrating the many achievements in commercial and public property this year.”

Entrants now have until Wednesday 30th October 2019 to submit their work for consideration by the judging panel. The competition is free to enter and this year’s entry guide, terms and conditions and online entry forms can be found here.

The 7th annual Scottish Property Awards takes place on Thursday 20 February 2020 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
