A PRIMARY school and nursery have been forced to close after a fire.
Rigside Primary and Nursery in South Lanarkshire are currently shut after a blaze took place at the buildings overnight.
The news was announced by South Lanarkshire Council earlier today.
A statement published to the local authority’s Facebook page reads: “Rigside Primary School and Nursery will both be closed today due to a fire overnight.
“We will post more information when we have it.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
