Scottish Nature Photography Awards: Winners in full

The winners of the ScottishNaturePhotography Awards 2018 have been announced.

The top prize has been awarded to Edinburgh’s Phil Johnston for his picture of a roe deer holding a flower in its mouth.

Devised to celebrate the wildlife and landscape of Scotland, the competition welcomes entries from amateur and professional photographers alike.

Awards were also handed out to Junior and Student photographers.

Junior winner Kaitlyn Clark from Inverness - just 8 years old - says her motto for capturing great wildlife pictures is “enjoy the experience first and photographs second.”

Here The Independent has compiled the winning pictures in the gallery above.
