Scottish mum shares hysterical video of her five-year-old on first ever rollercoaster

Hilarious footage shows a five-year-old Midlothian boy's first hair-raising experience on a rollercoaster as he shifts from uncontrollable excitement to abject terror.

Aiden Cameron's thrilling ride on the Blue Flyer in Blackpool was captured by his mum and dad as the schoolboy goes through every emotion possible on the pulsating carnival attraction.

The family, from Bonnnyrigg, were on holiday in the English seaside destination when they treated Aiden to his first amusement ride.

Mum Paula Scott, 32, caught the youngster's changing facial expressions on the adrenaline-inducing track as it hurtles round the course.

Aiden can be heard screaming and telling his mum he doesn't like it, before smiling and laughing and asking to go a second time.

He later joined dad Ryan Cameron for a second go-around on the rollercoaster, according to mum Paula.

She said: "He was nervous, but excited at the same time as he had never been to Blackpool.

"I was nervous because I really didn't know how he would be.

"To tell the truth, I was probably more scared than him, but he is much braver as he went on again and all the other rides that he was able to go on.

"Afterwards we both had a giggle and I asked if he was OK and he said 'let's go again,' so he did with his dad, as I am 5ft 10 and was squashed."

The rollercoaster kicks off with a 15-foot climb before rapidly dropping three times and speeding into an indoor portion.

It then shoots off to the end of the course at a ferocious speed before coming to a safe stop.

The ride has been a feature of Blackpool's famous Pleasure Beach since 1934, but now resides in Nickelodeon Land after being made a grade two listed building in 2017.
