Leaders from the five biggest parties at Holyrood went head-to-head last night in the first TV debate of the election campaign.
It was a quiet night with no audience, but we were treated to a number of fiery points throughout the course of the one hour and 10 minute debate.
Nicola Sturgeon had the most to lose as she went up against Douglas Ross from the Scottish Tories, Labour's Anas Sarwar, Willie Rennie from the Lib Dems and Lorna Slater from the Scottish Greens.
Coronavirus, independence, the NHS and the climate crisis were just some of the topics that popped up on the discussion with the BBC's Scotland Editor Sarah Smith.
Following the debate the Record Politics team reacted to the first TV spectacle of the 2021 election campaign so far.
During the 20-minute discussion Daily Record Political Editor Paul Hutcheon was joined by Deputy Political Editor Chris McCall, Live Politics Editor Peter Davidson and Associate Editor Annie Brown to look at the main talking points from the evening.
