A SCOTTISH Labour MSP has been suspended by his party after claims of sexual harassment were made against him by a younger woman, according to reports.
Over the weekend it was revealed that Foysol Choudhury, who is now sitting as an independent MSP, was suspended by the party over alleged inappropriate conduct while an investigation takes place.
However, no details of the nature of the claims were provided.
When pressed on the issue on Good Morning Scotland on Monday, Sarwar didn’t reveal details and said he “was sharing exactly” what he knew, in that complaints were sent to an independent body for review.
Now, The Daily Record has reported that he is facing allegations after a complaint was lodged by a Holyrood staffer, including an allegation of sexual harassment.
It comes after a slate of scandals hit the Scottish branch of the party in recent months, including Colin Smyth, who was suspended after being charged in connection with possession of "indecent images”.

A Labour Party spokesperson said: "The Labour Party takes all complaints seriously. "They are fully investigated in line with our rules and procedures, and any appropriate action is taken.”
Choudhury was voted into the Scottish parliament from the regional list in the 2021 elections.
He was the first Scottish Bangladeshi elected to Holyrood.
