A COURT hearing for a suspended Scottish Labour MSP charged with possession of indecent images of children and voyeurism has been postponed.
Colin Smyth was set to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court on Wednesday September 24.
The Crown Office has now said that the hearing will not take place on that date, the Daily Record reports.
Smyth is not listed on the Dumfries Sheriff Court roll for Wednesday.
The South Scotland region MSP was elected as a Scottish Labour MSP in 2016, but was suspended by the party after he was charged after a police raid on his home on August 5.
He is also facing allegations linked to a recording device in a Holyrood toilet. Smyth has “strongly” rejected the allegations, which he said came as an “utter shock”.
