Scottish killer demands compensation - because his prison serves him too few chips

A Scottish killer has demanded compensation – because his prison served him too few chips.

Graham Coutts, who is serving life for killing classical musician Jane Longhurst, moaned that there aren’t enough fries in a single portion.

His complaint – Coutts’ 12th in prison– also complains about a lack of baked beans, too.

Coutts, from Leven, Fife, is at HMP Wakefield – dubbed Monster Mansion as it is home to some of Britain’s worst criminals.

He has been fighting to be transferred to a prison in Scotland to be closer to his mother.

The move was approved in March 2018 but has yet to take place as the Scottish Prison Service said their jails are full.

The killer told followers on his blog: “I’m still trapped in the nightmarish abyss that is HMP Wakefield.

“I have made an FOI request to find out how many prisoners have been transferred to Scotland since 2018.”

His previous claims include alleging that prison chiefs lost or deleted CDs containing 29 of his self-penned songs.

Coutts killed Jane, 31, in Brighton in 2003.

The Prison Service said it “robustly defended claims”.
