Scottish island in middle of beautiful loch goes on sale and it could be yours for just £80k

You could soon own your very own island in the middle of one of Scotland's most beautiful sea lochs after it was put on the market for less than the price of a one-bedroom flat in the southside of Glasgow.

Nestled in the middle of the tranquil Loch Moidart on the west coast of Scotland, the stunning and remote Deer Island offers no less than 11 acres of private land.

The rare opportunity to own your own Scottish island comes as the piece of land is put up for auction at the end of this month with a starting price of £80,000.

Though it has no houses or amenities, and is instead covered in native woodland, it is a highly sought after location with the neighbouring island of Eilean Shona owned by the family of British Business magnate Richard Branson.

Lying close to Castle Tioram, the ancient fortress of the Clanranald, Future Auctions, which is dealing with the Deer Island sale, said: “The uninhabited island is located within an extremely popular sea loch certain to appeal to investors from all over the world.”

Located in the Moidart district, which lies around 45 miles from Fort William and the and the Ben Nevis mountain range, the once in a lifetime opportunity is sure to excite buyers from all over the world.

Originally owned by the Clanranald, the auction house have not listed the current seller.
