A BUSINESS on the Scottish island where Donald Trump's mother was born will stage a multi-day protest during his Scotland visit.
The US president is expected to visit both his golf clubs north of the Border – in Aberdeenshire and South Ayrshire – during the four-day visit.
Lewis Revival – whose owner, Sarah Venus, was born in the US – previously put up a banner which read "shame on you, Donald John" after Trump's infamous meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the White House in March.
The vintage and house decor business is just miles from where Trump’s mother, Mary Anne, was born.
The banner was eventually taken down after a request from the local council, Venus said.
But now, in what she told The National was an act of “civil disobedience”, they will yet again be flying the banner outside the shop – now with signatures from across the community and visiting tourists – before displaying it in prominent places throughout Lewis during Trump’s visit.
“We're going to put [the banner] up tomorrow. And then, in the evening, we are going to take it to its first tour stop,” she (below) said.

“So, we've gathered signatures on the banner and sentiments and it is going on tour around Lewis and Harris. So, it's going to be a community project. And basically it'll pop up and be hosted by various individuals.”
The business has also given free banners to visitors ever since the first protest.
Venus specified, however, that there will be no physical protest this weekend given there is a separate protest against Israel’s genocide in Gaza scheduled for Stornoway on Saturday.
Trump’s visit will be met with large scale protests, with the policing operation required to handle it and the visit more generally set to be huge – with Police Scotland seeking officers from other areas of the UK for support.
