Scottish influencer visiting Edinburgh baffled by road crossing etiquette in city

The Glaswegian influencer filmed herself walking down North Bridge with sunglasses on while visiting the city and was left bewildered by the apparent difference in attitude with road etiquette in the capital.

Jenni Mclaren known as @littleloner_x on social media was visiting the Edinburgh and while walking up the city centre road, took to social media to address the difference in attitudes between folk from Edinburgh and Glaswegians.

The TikTok star claims that in Edinburgh people always press the green man and wait for it, while in Glasgow locals brave it and cross without pressing the button.

The clip is bound to divide opinions, but the bus drivers trying to drive between Princes Street and South Saint David Street probably don't agree.

Although those in the comments make a good point that most of the people in the city centre waiting for the green man are most likely tourists and students.

In the video Jenni exclaimed: "So I'm in Edinburgh right now and you know how in Glesga if you press the green man everyone thinks your a s******

"Well in Edinburgh it's the complete opposite, if you don't press for the green man everybody's like that: 'She's f***** crazy.'

The influencer later added: "No hate to Edinburgh btw it’s a lovely place & had good day" to remind easily offended Edinburgh locals, that the clip was shared in a light-hearted manner.

The hilarious video clip has been watched over 400,000 and gathered over 25,000 likes with viewers mixed in their opinions on the video.

One user joked: "That's because Edinburgh of full of tourists" with a crying laughing emoji."

Another said: "Naw am from Edinburgh and NEVER wait for the green man!"

One explained: "That's all the students and non UK people in Edinburgh. Everyone else just crosses when it's clear."

While one local joked: "We’re civilised here."

What do you think? Do people in Edinburgh always wait for the green man? Let us know in the comments.
