Scottish independent care company receives seven figure funding

Jon Fleming Group has received a seven-figure funding package to support a management buyout and additional investment availability for future acquisitions and growth.

Thincats was approached to provide loan funding to support the deal, advised by Neil Davidson at Edinburgh-based broker Alderburn Finance.

The Glasgow-headquartered business has four care services companies, providing services across Scotland.

Founded by John Fleming in 2006, the group has grown and acquired its way to become one the country's largest independent specialist care providers, helping more than 200 people day-to-day.

Jon Fleming, chief executive and founder at JFG, said: “Over the last 15 years we have supported some of the most complex people in Scotland and with the help of ThinCats we can continue to grow and support more people, with further acquisitions and organic growth.

"This has been a great start to the year for the company and we look forward to a positive year ahead."

Kenny Hughes, director of regional business development at ThinCats, added: “Jon started the business with a small grant from the Princes Trust and, impressively, has built this into a group focused on flexible and bespoke specialist care of the highest quality.”
