Scottish independence supporters to march through Glasgow as 'large attendance' expected at rally

Independence campaigners will march through the west end to city centre tomorrow.

The event, organised by the Scottish Independence Movement group, is expected to have a large number of people in attendance.

Marchers are expected to leave Kelvingrove Park at 11.55AM sharp and the route will follow to End at Glasgow Green.

The route is as follows:

Kelvingrove Park, Kelvinway, Gibson Street, Eldon Street, Woodlands Road, Sauchiehall Street, Pitt Street, West George Street, Blythswood Square (S), West George Street, Nelson Mandela Place, West George Street, George Square (N), George Street, High Street, Saltmarket, Glasgow Green.

Organisers say “Scottish Independence Movement will take to the streets in Glasgow to show the Westminster establishment that Scotland will not be enslaved to a union.

"Our voices will be heard. Scotland's future depends on you. We will march and protest."

A Police Spokesperson said: We are aware of the event and it will be policed appropriately."
