Scottish hotel named 'Best Wedding Hotel on a Global Level' in hospitality hat-trick

When the big question is popped, the countdown to the wedding begins.

But as we all know, there's a lot to sort out from the date of the wedding to the catering. But importantly, there is also the venue.

And it seems as though one Scottish hotel is more than worthy of being considered having been awarded ‘Best Wedding Hotel on a Global Level’ for the third year in a row.

Set in an 18th-century Fife Georgian mansion on 400 acres of parkland, the global Haute Grandeur Awards handed over the achievement, which is the only one of its kind globally, with the Balbirnie House Hotel setting a new record and scoring a hospitality hat-trick having previously received the same accolade in 2019 and 2021.

The accolade is yet another accomplishment for the wedding team, who have enjoyed their busiest year to date, with a 25 per cent increase in weddings booked at their award-winning venue with around 200 couples saying 'I do' alone this year.

Not only has 2022 been a busy year for them but the next two years are also set to be the same with every Saturday in summer of 2024 having been booked and next year will also see a busy period.

Company Director Gaynor Russell, who has overseen Balbirnie’s wedding planning department for two decades has said of the achievement: "We are truly delighted to receive this award for the third time, it’s a wonderful acknowledgement for all the hard work that goes into what our hotel brigade does, to look after each and every unique wedding."
