- The Scottish Greens have pledged to launch an inquiry into the funding of Donald Trump's golf courses in Scotland, should they secure victory in the upcoming election.
- The party previously advocated for an Unexplained Wealth Order (UWO) to scrutinise how Trump acquired his facilities in South Ayrshire and Aberdeenshire.
- Patrick Harvie, the party's external affairs spokesman, stated that Trump "should never have been allowed to treat Scotland as his personal playground" and described him as a "convicted fraudster, a racist and a war criminal".
- Harvie criticised the Scottish and UK governments for “fawning over” Trump and ignoring calls for transparency regarding his wealth.
- The Greens' comments follow a suggestion from Zack Polanski, leader of the Green Party in England and Wales, that Trump's golf courses should be stripped from him using international sanctions.
