Green MSPs have apologised after breaching strict coronavirus rules during a visit to an Edinburgh pub.
Co-leaders Patrick Harvie and new MSP Lorna Slate r said sorry after failing to uphold the three-household limit.
They said: “This was an honest mistake, we're kicking ourselves and we apologise unreservedly.”
Only three households are allowed to be together in an indoor hospitality or domestic setting in Level 2 areas.
However, the Scottish Sun reported that Harvie, Slater, fellow MSP Ross Greer and another individual were at Browns bar on George Street in Edinburgh on Tuesday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We are aware of a photograph posted on social media which will be assessed by officers."
It came as Nicola Sturgeon announced that talks had taken place between the Government and the Greens on a formal deal.
She said it could lead to Green Ministers serving in a pro-independence government.
Sturgeon said: “I can confirm that the Scottish Government and the Scottish Green Party will enter structured talks, supported by the civil service, with a view to reaching - if we can - a formal Cooperation Agreement.
“Exactly what the content, extent and scope of any Agreement will be is what the talks will focus on.”
