The Scottish Government has confirmed TWO coronavirus deaths were reported in Tayside in the last 24 hours.
Data from Public Health Scotland also shows that 197 new cases were recorded overnight in the region.
The area's death toll - composed of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days - has increased to 754.
In total, Tayside has recorded 52,257 cases of Covid-19 since the pandemic began.
The latest local vaccination data shows 330,626 have received their first coronavirus vaccination, 301,453 their second and 155,315 their booster or third dose.

Across the country, 19 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
There were also 2,796 new positive cases of Covid-19 recorded in the last day - a total of 730,331 since the pandemic began.
There are currently 702 people in Scotland's hospitals with 54 in intensive care.
The latest figures come as Boris Johnson urged all eligible adults in the United Kingdom to get a booster coronavirus vaccine by the end of January.
The Prime Minister said the best line of defence against the surging Omicron variant, which originated in southern Africa, was getting the vaccine.
Scottish Health Secretary Humza Yousaf announced on Tuesday there were three new cases of the variant, bringing the total to nine.
There are five in Lanarkshire and four in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area.
During a covid statement in the Scottish Parliament Nicola Sturgeon revealed that all nine cases were linked to a single private event held on November 20.
The First Minister urged people to get their covid jabs to prevent serious illness from the virus.
