The Scottish Government has confirmed there were TWO coronavirus deaths reported in Tayside in the last 24 hours.
Data from Public Health Scotland also shows that 238 new cases were recorded across the region overnight.
The region’s death toll - composed of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days - has increased to 732.
In total, Tayside has recorded 49,424 cases of Covid-19 since the pandemic began.
The latest local vaccination data shows that 329,675 people in Tayside have received their first dose, 300,117 have had their second and 124,263 their booster, or third, dose.

Across the whole of Scotland there were 13 further Covid-confirmed deaths in the last 24 hours.
The latest figures for Scotland showed that 3,360 new cases had also been identified overnight.
It means the national death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – has increased to 9,419.
There are currently 774 people in Scotland’s hospitals confirmed to have the virus with 57 being treated in intensive care.
The figures come Nicola Sturgeon has warned the vaccine passport scheme could be extended ahead of Christmas.
The First Minister told Holyrood that while final decisions have not yet been taken, any future changes could come into force on December 6. An update on this is expected next week.
The passport scheme could be extended to cover settings such as cinemas, theatres and some licensed and hospitality premises.
She told Holyrood that current restrictions would remain in place for now.
However, she added : “We are also considering whether an expansion of the scheme to cover more settings would be justified and prudent given the current state of the pandemic.
