The Scottish Government has confirmed there have been three coronavirus deaths reported in Tayside in the last 24 hours.
Data from Public Health Scotland also shows that 156 new cases were recorded overnight in the region.
The area's death toll - composed of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days - now sits at 744.
And in total Tayside has recorded 50,785 cases of Covid-19 since the pandemic began.
The latest local vaccination data shows that 90% of the over-12 population have received at least one coronavirus vaccination, and 82% have received at least two.
Around 37.6% have also received a third vaccination.
Across the country, 2,527 new positive cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the last day - a total of 709,399 since the pandemic began.
Sadly a further 17 Covid-confirmed deaths have also been recorded, putting the country's overall death toll from the virus at 9,495.
A total of 183 people are in hospital, while a further five people have been admitted to intensive care.
Meanwhile, 4,335,558 over-12s - 90.6% of the adult population - have received at least one Covid jab while 3,940,307 (82.4%) have received two.
A total of 1,469,365 people (30.7%) have also received follow-up booster shots.
The latest figures comec amid warnings that Covid travel test rules will be reviewed in January in what could be a shake up for the industry.
Aviation minister Robert Courts said that he wants to reduce all restrictive measures - not just testing - for the aviation business to "bounce back" from the pandemic.
All travellers regardless of vaccination status are required to pay for Covid testing when they enter the UK.
The minister refused to specify what travel restrictions would be relaxed, but the state of Covid across the world, particularly in Europe, does not look promising as cases soar.
