The Scottish Government has confirmed no new coronavirus deaths have been reported in Tayside in the last 24 hours.
Data from Public Health Scotland also shows 357 new cases were recorded overnight in the region.
The area's death toll - composed of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days - remains at 767.
In total, Tayside has recorded 56,246 cases of Covid-19 since the pandemic began. Included in this number are 32 Omicron cases.
The latest local vaccination data shows that 332,031 of the over-12 population have received at least one coronavirus vaccination, and 304,418 have received at least two.
211,222 have also received a third vaccination amid a national effort to "booster" as many people as possible before New Year.
Across the country, 6,734 new positive cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the last day - a total of 806,695 since the pandemic began.
No further Covid-confirmed deaths have been recorded, meaning the country's overall death toll from the virus remains at 9,781.
It must be noted that Monday's figures always come with the caveat that registry offices are shut over the weekend, meaning deaths can't be recorded.
Across Scotland, 516 pople are currenlty being treated in hospitals with 38 of those in intensive care
The latest figures come as a teaching union has demanded that the reopening of schools in Scotland after the Christmas break should be delayed.
The Scottish Secondary Teachers Association (SSTA) claimed there are already staffing issues in classrooms because of the requirement for entire households to self-isolate for 10 days if someone tests positive for covid.
Schools will break for the planned Christmas holiday this week and pupils are due to return in the New Year.
Last January saw all classrooms shut and pupils left to complete tasks remotely as the UK entered a second national lockdown.
But Nicola Sturgeon has previously insisted that schools would only be closed again as a last resort.
It comes as the Scottish Government considers imposing even more restrictions on the public as part of its response to the sudden rise of the omicron variant.
