The Scottish Government has confirmed there were NO coronavirus deaths reported in Tayside in the last 24 hours.
Data from Public Health Scotland also shows that 225 new cases were recorded across the region overnight.
The region’s death toll - composed of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days - remains the same at 730.
In total, Tayside has recorded 49,185 cases of Covid-19 since the pandemic began.
The latest local vaccination data shows that 329,597 people in Tayside have received their first dose, 300,009 have had their second and 121,858 their booster, or third, dose.
Across the whole of Scotland there were 17 further Covid-confirmed deaths in the last 24 hours.
The latest figures for Scotland showed that 2,771 new cases had also been identified overnight.
It means the national death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – remains the same at 9,406.
There are currently 779 people in Scotland’s hospitals confirmed to have the virus with 57 being treated in intensive care.
The figures come as Nicola Sturgeon is set to announce today whether tougher restrictions are needed in Scotland to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
Speculation has mounted in recent days the Scottish Government is considering extending the covid vaccine passport scheme to include more venues.
But business leaders have claimed almost two-thirds of firms are opposed to the measures being considered, fearing they could “place thousands of firms and jobs at risk”.
A total of 65% of companies surveyed for Scottish Chambers of Commerce (SCC) were against vaccine passports being used more in the hospitality and leisure sectors, together with increased home working and greater use of face coverings.
Meanwhile some of Spain 's party hotspots - including the famous Magaluf and Ibiza - could see tourists banned in a crackdown on rowdy behaviour.
In a bid to stamp out drunken holiday antics, the UK Foreign Office will link up with popular Spanish destinations including the Balearic Islands - which includes Majorca and Ibiza.
