The Scottish Government has confirmed NO new coronavirus deaths have been reported in Tayside in the last 24 hours.
Data from Public Health Scotland also shows 186 new cases were recorded overnight in the region.
The total number of Omicron cases stands at 44 - an increase of 12 on yesterday's figure.
The area's death toll - composed of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days - remains at 767.
In total, Tayside has recorded 56,430 cases of Covid-19 since the pandemic began.
The latest local vaccination data shows that 332,178 of the over-12 population have received at least one coronavirus vaccination, and 304,644 have received at least two.
215,008 have also received a third vaccination amid a national effort to "booster" as many people as possible before New Year.
Across the country, 5,242 new positive cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the last day - a total of 811,927 since the pandemic began.
There were nine further Covid-confirmed deaths recorded, meaning the country's overall death toll from the virus rises to 9,790.

The latest figures come as The Daily record revealed that Nicola Sturgeon is considering new restrictions on football matches in a bid to halt the spread of Omicron.
We understand fresh curbs are under discussion by the Scottish Government, with plans to limit the number of spectators to 500 from December 26.
It comes after Boris Johnson delayed an urgent decision on whether to impose further measures to stop covid overrunning the NHS.
The Prime Minister put it off on the same day Scotland recorded the largest number of daily covid cases since September.
Sturgeon last week announced new measures relating to socialising and the economy, but she wants to go further.
Her Government is looking at extra restrictions, but Sturgeon wants clarity on funding and access to UK-funded schemes like furlough.
