The Scottish Government has confirmed 5,498 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.
There are currently 1,175 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 19 being treated in intensive care.
So far 4,436,113 people have received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccination, 4,157,209 given a second dose and 3,430,747 have received a third dose or booster.
It comes as youngsters attending secondary schools in Scotland will no longer have to wear a face covering while in class.
The new rule takes effect from today in a move the Scottish Government's education secretary hailed as a "positive milestone".
