The Scottish Government has confirmed that 10,392 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
The latest figures for Scotland showed that there were 16 further deaths of people who had tested positive for the virus.
There are currently 1,479 people in hospital confirmed to have Covid with 54 being treated in intensive care.
Tuesday’s figures show that the test positivity rate is at 27.7 per cent.
To date, 4,393,689 people have received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccination with 4,051,635 having a second jab and 3,130,502 receiving a third dose or booster.
The latest figures come as First Minister Nicola Sturgeon prepares to issue an update to the Scottish Parliament today on the state of the pandemic in Scotland.

Ms Sturgeon will address MSPs on Tuesday afternoon on the latest restrictions and whether any rules will be relaxed in the coming weeks.
