The Scottish Government has confirmed there have been 14 coronavirus deaths and 4,925 new cases overnight.
The death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – now stands at 8,099.
There are currently 426 people in Scottish hospital battling the virus, with 47 being treated in intensive care.
Some 4,092,295 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 3,617,687 have received their second dose in Scotland.
It comes amid warnings Scotland could be headed for a circuit breaker lockdown amid raising cases across the country.
Public health experts are reportedly lining up a series of options for Nicola Sturgeon after Scotland recorded its highest number of new daily cases today.
Other measures being considered include new rules on social distancing and so-called vaccine certificates.
It is believed that the most recent lifting of restrictions will be the first to be considered for reversal by Scottish Government ministers after the spike in new infections.
