A Scottish Government civil servant has provided the perfect response to an anti-vaxxer’s request for information on the coronavirus vaccine.
Misinformation has been rife on social media since the rollout of the Covid jag started back in December last year.
There has been a plethora of myths made about the vaccines, which have been consistently debunked by scientists time and time again.
And this has clearly spilled into official correspondence to the people responsible for mobilising NHS Scotland in getting the jag into the arms of Scots across the country.

A Freedom of Information (FOI) request, submitted on August 7, demanded information on the ingredients that make up the ‘experimental potions’.
The person wrote: “I would like Scotland’s science breakdown of the experimental potions through microscope?? What are the ingredients?”
And the civil servant tasked with giving the reply was less than impressed.
They responded: “By ‘experimental potion’ I have taken this to mean ‘Covid-19 vaccines’.”
The civil servant went on to list all of the ingredients used in the Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna and Janssen jags - which have all been approved for use in Scotland by vaccine experts.
And the response was praised by a number of people on social media yesterday.
Posting a screengrab from the FOI, Press Association journalist Craig Paton wrote: “Tremendous deadpan response there from the Scottish Government FOI team.”
Figures released by the Scottish Government have revealed that almost four million Scots have received both doses of the vaccine so far.
Data published by Public Health England earlier this week show that ‘experimental potions’ have saved 60,000 people and have prevented 66,900 hospitalisations across the UK.
Scots who are yet to receive their Covid vaccine can get their jag from a number of drop-in clinics across Scotland.
Details on where to find these can be found here.
