The Scottish Government has confirmed that six people have died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
The latest figures for Scotland also showed that 1,456 new cases had been identified overnight.
It means the death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – sits at 7,930.
There are currently 474 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 60 being treated in intensive care.
The total number of positive cases since the pandemic started stands at 344,158.
To date 4,007,577 people have received their first vaccination with 3,162,662 having a second jab.
It comes as Humza Yousaf criticised the UK Government for not jointly communicating the decision to change self-isolation rules for travellers from the EU and US.
The decision was announced yesterday afternoon by UK Transport Secretary Grant Shapps, however reports appeared earlier in the day.
Michael Matheson, Scotland's Transport Secretary, announced the changes after Shapps took to social media.
Under the new guidelines, travellers from the US or EU who are fully vaccinated will be able to skip self-isolation after they arrive in the UK.
Yousaf said: "We'd rather the UK Government had worked with us and we could have got to a joint position and communicated that jointly, that would have been a better position to be in.
