To date 3,422,431 people have received their first vaccination with 2,313,695 having a second jab.

It comes after Nicola Sturgeon gave an update on the ongoing easing of restrictions throughout the country.

The First Minister met up with her sister in an emotional reunion last weekend after Glasgow moved back to Level 2.

Gill Sturgeon posted the photograph on her Facebook page on Sunday with the caption "Reunited" and love heart icons.

The post has gained over 3,000 likes and hundreds of comments from users touched by the image of the Sturgeon sisters.
