The Scottish Government has announced one new coronavirus death and 490 cases in Scotland overnight.
The latest figures bring the total number of confirmed cases to 233,671 since the start of the global outbreak last year.
A total of 110 people are currently being treated in hospital with eight receiving intensive care treatment.
Meanwhile, 3,251,138 people have now received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine with 2,044,253 having had second jags.
The figures come amid the fallout of Glasgow remaining in Level Three lockdown restrictions.
Former Tory MSP Adam Tomkins, has argued that blanket restrictions on pubs, clubs and restaurants are unlikely to survive an imminent legal challenge being brought by hospitality industry bosses.
The legal academic, who stood down from Holyrood ahead of the recent election, said current rules imposed on the council area were "disproportionate" given the low numbers of people currently hospitalised with covid.
Humza Yousaf has also announced that parts of Scotland may remain in Level Two lockdown restrictions due to the rise in coronavirus cases.
The Health Secretary told the BBC's Good Morning Scotland show that some parts of the country will not move down to Level One as planned on June 7.
