The Scottish Government has confirmed that no people have died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours,
The latest figures for Scotland showed that 2,194 new cases had also been identified overnight.
It means the death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – remians the same at 8,930.
Announcing zero deaths, the government highlighted the fact that register offices are 'generally closed' over the weekend.
There are currently 857 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 44 being treated in intensive care.
The total number of positive cases since the pandemic started stands at 609,959.
To date 4,289,119 people have received their first vaccination with 3,879,942 having a second jab.
The figures come as Covid vaccine passports have been legally enforced from today in Scotland after a two-week grace period for businesses to get used to the system ended.
The Scottish Government introduced the scheme on October 1, however it allowed firms across the country a period of time to get up and running with it.
Proof of your vaccine status will now be needed to enter late-night venues open after midnight where alcohol is served and there is music and dancing.
People attending football and rugby matches, or any event of any nature, where there are more than 10,000 spectators in attendance will need to show certification as well.
Those going to unseated indoor live events, with more than 500 people in the audience and to unseated outdoor live events, with more than 4,000 people will have to give proof of vaccine.
