There are also 406 people in hospital who are confirmed to have the virus, while 61 are receiving treatment in intensive care.

The total number of positive cases since the pandemic started stands at 348,018.

The figures come as Nicola Sturgeon is set to give an update on the coronavirus situation across Scotland today from the Scottish Parliament.

The First Minister will address MSPs in Holyrood as cases continue to drop following a spike in June and July due to the Delta variant which originated in India.

Sturgeon will reveal whether Scotland will be able to move out of the Levels System on August 9.
