The Scottish Government has confirmed that 32 people have died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours,
The latest figures for Scotland showed that 2,355 new cases had also been identified overnight.
It brings the death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – to 9,012.
There are currently 917 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 58 being treated in intensive care.
The total number of positive cases since the pandemic started stands at 617,536.
To date 4,297,028 people have received their first vaccination with 3,886,176 having a second jab.
The figures come as Nicola Sturgeon was urged to challenge the 'selfish' UK Government over its stance on supplying poorer nations with covid jabs.
Campaigners insisted the First Minister had a "duty" to challenge the UK Government over its "staggeringly selfish" stance on providing the vaccines.
Scottish members of the People's Vaccine Alliance made the plea to the First Minister as global leaders, including UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, prepare to take part in the G20 summit in Rome.
A new report for the organisation claims that of 1.8 billion covid vaccine doses that have been promised by richer nations, only 261 million jabs - 14% - have actually been delivered.
