It brings the death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – to 10,093.
The latest figures for Scotland showed 7,752 new cases had also been identified overnight, with figures now including LFD and PCR tests.
There are currently 1,546 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 42 being treated in intensive care.

It comes as Nicola Sturgeon prepares to give an updated statement on whether restrictions can be lifted.
The First Minister will address MSPs at Scottish Parliament at around 2.20pm today.
It follows limits on numbers at live outdoor events being lifted yesterday for the first time in weeks.
As a result, 60,000 football fans swarmed into Celtic Park to see the Hoops beat Hibs.
It is thought a decision on current hospitality and leisure venues will be made in the near future.
Douglas Ross, leader of the Scottish Conservatives, called on Sturgeon to scrap all restrictions apart from mask rules.
He said: "The Scottish Government's own data shows that we are past the peak of Omicron.
"The latest evidence means we can now be far more optimistic.
"People across Scotland have learned to live with Covid.
"The success of Scotland and the UK's vaccine scheme means the public can now tackle Covid through their own actions, without the need for so many government restrictions."
