The Scottish Government has confirmed that 19 people have died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
The latest figures for Scotland showed that 3,090 new cases had also been identified overnight.
It brings the death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – to 9,467.
11,933 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 14 November.
There are currently 785 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 64 being treated in intensive care.
The total number of positive cases since the pandemic started stands at 698,962.
To date 4,335,881 people have received their first vaccination with 1,342,841 having a second jab.
The figures come as Covid public health strategies such as masks, hand washing and social distancing should continue as the "first choice" in prevention, concluded experts in a new study.
In a paper published by the British Medical Journal, researchers looked at studies where masks were found to reduce Covid rates by 53 percent.
Meanwhile, hand washing reduced Covid rates by 53 percent while social distancing decreased infections by 25 percent.
The paper was conducted by researchers at the University of Edinburgh and universities in Australia and China.
It analysed 72 different studies on different public health measures in reducing Covid rates, transmission and deaths.
