The Scottish Government has confirmed there have been 13 deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
The latest figures for Scotland showed that 1,271 new cases have also been identified overnight since the last update on Tuesday.
There are also currently 383 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 58 being treated in intensive care.
The death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – currently stands at 7,965.
The total number of positive cases since the pandemic started stands at 349,286.
4,016,326 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 3,249,622 have received their second.
It comes as Labour has said the UK Government must have a plan to roll out coronavirus vaccines to 16 and 17-year-olds, following suggestions experts were about to approve the move.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon stated that she was "veering towards expecting" the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) to outline updated guidance for young people having the coronavirus jab.
Speaking to MSPs on Tuesday, Ms Sturgeon had suggested the decision could come within days.
