Pensions mutual Scottish Friendly has announced the appointment of a new chief risk officer from PwC to help guide the transfer of a major business from Canada Life .
Genevieve Humphreys has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry and was most recently director in the risk assurance practice at the Big Four professional services firm.
She has experience in enterprise risk management, risk and capital management and Solvency II, as well as managing complex change programmes from her 14 years with PwC. Previously she held actuarial roles at Abbey.
Humphreys has a statistics and maths degree from University College Dublin and was approved as a Certified Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA) by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in 2014.
Scottish Friendly is preparing for the transfer of a substantial book of life and pensions business from Canada Life this year, subject to regulatory approval.
Scottish Friendly chief executive Jim Galbraith said: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Genevieve as chief risk officer to Scottish Friendly’s executive management team.
