Caithness and Sutherland and Ross is an SNP hold with Maree Todd gaining 15,889 votes. Molly Nolan , the Scottish Liberal Democrats came second with 13,298 votes.
The Conservatives polled 5,170 and Labour just 2,016 votes.
The Lib Dems had talked up their chances in the seat that was a party stronghold for more than 30 years.
