Scottish Dance Theatre

Energised by the opening of its new premises at Dundee Rep, Scotland's premier small-scale dance company is having a ball. A regular on the Dance Base fringe, it is popular locally, meaning tickets are at a premium, particularly at this tiny venue.

Squeezing seven dancers into the converted studio is also tricky. Moment, choreographed by Sean Feldman, is a busy piece, though its style looks cramped, leaving little room for the fast-track world it tries to capture. But an enthusiastic performance by the company pulls it off - just.

Track, on the other hand, fits the space well. Created by Didy Veldman, it is a curious piece, sharp and full of treasures. The simple design features two pairs of red high heels. The music is gorgeously gloopy and the choreography sticks to the dancers like the masking tape they toy with. Humour and pathos roll together nicely as the ensemble play out their struggles with identity and, under the keen direction of Janet Smith, tackle this lovely composition with maturity and joy.
