Auchinleck Talbot staged a stirring second-half comeback against Irvine Meadow to win 3-1 and book a place in the second round of the Scottish Cup.
Tommy Sloan's side trailed to a Mark McLennan penalty at half-time in the Meadow Park clash.
But Gareth Armstrong drilled home an equaliser just before the hour mark to haul them back in the tie.
Two goals in as many minutes from Mark Shankland and Keir Samson then turned the match on its head to leave Meadow with too much of a mountain to climb in the final quarter of an hour.
Delighted Talbot boss Sloan admitted it took a half-time dressing down to spark a reaction from his players.
He said: "We struggled after going behind with the penalty.
"There was no fluency about us and there were a lot of stoppages in the game.
"I didn't think our good players were getting on the ball.
"Half-time came and we gave them a bit of stick. We told them they had to be brave and try to get on the ball and they came out and showed up really well in the second half.
"The full team were 25 per cent better than they were in the first. Whether Meadow tired a wee bit I don't know but we were certainly more like ourselves."
'Bot frontman Bryan Boylan carved out the first opportunity of the match in seven minutes when he steered a back post header wide of the target.
But it took a terrific save from Talbot goalkeeper Andy Leishman to stop Meadow storming in front five minutes later.
Dylan Pooler looked certain to score when he met Connor Boyd's knockdown four yards out but Leishman showed ridiculous reflexes to fly across his line and fist the ball to safety.
It was a major let-off for the visitors but there was little Leishman could do to prevent Meadow going in front in 16 minutes.
Talbot left-back Aiden Wilson lunged into a rash challenge on Kyle Faulds on the edge of the box and referee Duncan Nicolson had no hesitation in blowing up for a penalty.
McLennan's powerfully struck spot kick found the corner of the net, just beyond Leishman's reach to give the hosts a precious lead.
The home side had their tails up, playing with a real energy and determination that Talbot struggled to get to grips with.
Meadow keeper Marc Waters had very little to deal with as a result, making his first save of note in 41 minutes to keep out a fierce Samson strike as Bot caught the home side out on the counter attack.
A 1-0 half-time scoreline was just about right but Meadow would have been expecting a big reaction from their opponents after the break.
Just 60 seconds after the restart, Talbot midfielder Kieran Healy wasn't too far away with a strike from the edge of the box.
There was certainly more urgency about Talbot's play, but they needed Leishman to come to their rescue again in 54 minutes.
Faulds intercepted a loose ball in midfield and drove beyond the Bot backline but his shot was brilliantly saved by the onrushing Leishman's feet.
It proved to be a massive turning point as just 60 seconds later, the visitors were back on level terms.
Dwayne Hyslop slipped a pass out to Armstrong on the right side of the Meadow box and the midfielder drilled a low shot through a ruck of bodies and into the far corner of the net.
The momentum was now well and truly with Talbot and they edged in front in 73 minutes, substitute Mark Shankland finding the top corner with a superb looping half-volley from 17 yards.
It was then Samson's turn to get on the scoresheet two minutes later, chesting a loose ball down 16 yards from goal before arrowing a low shot into the corner.
Meadow just couldn't offer a response and Shankland should have scored again late on, only to fresh air a strike with the goal at his mercy.
Talbot now go into the hat for tomorrow's second round draw.
Sloan added: "We won't get carried away. We'll take whoever we get."
