There will be no fans inside Hampden for the Scottish Cup Final in May, in a major blow to Scottish football supporters.
It had been hoped the final could be used as a test event for the Euros, when 25 per cent of the stadium will be filled with fans for Scotland’s games against Czech Republic and Croatia.
Now the BBC report that the national stadium will be unable to house fans for the game.
That’s down to the fact UEFA will be in control of the stadium from May 14, with the final eight days later on May 22.
It had been due to be held on May 8 but the schedule had to be changed to fit games in.
Celtic and Rangers are both hoping to reach the showpiece event, but face each other in the fourth round first.
The Hoops have won each of the last four Scottish Cups, lifting the last one in December against Hearts.
Steven Gerrard's side haven't won the tournament in more than a decade, with their last success coming in a 1-0 win over Falkirk in 2009.
Rangers midfielder Scott Arfield was on the Bairns side that day, when Nacho Novo scored a stunning volley to take the trophy to Ibrox.
