Scottish contestant named Glasgow to appear on major Channel 4 series 'The Bridge'

Channel 4’s gruelling reality competition show The Bridge returns for a supersized second series in a new tropical location, and a Scottish contestant will be competing for the jackpot!

Contestant Glasgow, originally from Scotland but who now lives in London, will compete against 15 other people for the the chance to win the huge cash prize of £200,000.

In this new series, the contestants must put egos and differences aside to tackle the ultimate test of physical ability, mental skill and teamwork.

Going head-to-head, the teams will race to build a bridge over 1,000 feet of water in just 12 days to reach the cash which lies below a tower on an island between both beaches.

But only one person from the winning team can take home this huge prize.

Glasgow opens up about their sexuality and gender identity on the show, and aims to help people understand non-binary people more.

The 24-year-old volunteers with a charity which talks about and normalises LGBTQ+ issues in schools.

Glasgow says they are quite competitive and their family try to avoid playing games with them because they always win.

They consider themselves to be a problem solver, however, they don't necessarily have the confidence to put their ideas forward.

If Glasgow were to win the jackpot, they would pay off their student debts.

In episode one of the series, the teams fly to one of Ha Long Bay's 1,600 uninhabited islands in Vietnam, and are tasked with building a 1000 foot bridge across the South China Sea to a central island in just 12 days time.

Episode one of The Bridge: Race To A Fortune will air on Channel 4 on Tuesday, June 7 at 10pm, so tune in and cheer our Scottish contestant on!
