Scottish city centre street closed off as emergency services attend scene

A BUSY Glasgow city centre street has been closed, with emergency services attending the area.

Argyle Street is shut between Wellington Street and Four Corners, as police officers and paramedics attended the scene.

The road has been closed after a man had "collapsed" in the area, police shared in an update.

Emergency crews are currently dealing with the incident. Due to it, drivers are being urged to "avoid the area".

A police statement said: "Argyle Street in Glasgow is closed between Wellington Street and Four Corners after police received a report a man had collapsed.

"Emergency services are in attendance. Motorists are advised to avoid the area."
