Scottish chart-toppers The Bluebells are being recruited as part of a series of fundraising concerts later this year for Ayrshire Hospice.
The ‘Young at Heart’ stars will perform at Troon Concert Hall in November as part of 'Giggin’ it Laldy'.
Money raised from the concerts will go towards the redevelopment of the hospice.
Joining The Bluebells by the seaside on Sunday, November 13, will be The Christians.
The Liverpool-based outfit rose to fame in the 1980s with hits such as ‘Ideal World’ and ‘Harvest for the World’.
Both bands will co-headline the fundraiser in Troon.
Other music acts set to appear are Brian Kennedy and Jeremy Levif, the French singer-songwriter based in Prestwick.
Hazel McIlwraith, Ayrshire Hospice capital campaign director, said: “Giggin it Laldy is an exclusive experience born out of the genuine love of live music and ambition to produce a series of gigs in Ayrshire.
“We’re delighted to be bringing The Bluebells and The Christians to Troon this November alongside Brian Kennedy and Jeremy Levif for what will be the first of a unique series of concerts supporting our organisation.”
All monies raised from Giggin’ it Laldy will go towards the Ayrshire Hospice capital campaign – a multi-million pound renovation of its home in Ayr, ensuring its legacy for the next 30 years and beyond.
Ms McIlwraith added: “This first concert will be an acoustic gig in the atmospheric surrounding of the concert hall, giving the artists the opportunity to play some of their best-known songs completely stripped back in an intimate environment.”
The Bluebells are best known for their 1984 hit Young at Heart which hit the top of UK charts when it was re-released in 1993.
The Christians are best known for their double-platinum debut album which reached No 2 in the album charts in 1987.
They are regulars on stages across the UK.
Organisers say one more exciting headliner will be revealed in the coming weeks to complete the first Giggin’ it Laldy line-up.
