Scottish care home group expands portfolio

Keane Premier Group has expanded its portfolio by acquiring Kingsgate Care Home.

The Lanarkshire-based care provider was backed in the deal by a £1.2m loan from Barclays.

The 60-bed care home, based in South Lanarkshire, and will add 39 staff to Keane’s team of carers. Modernisation of the home will now begin with a new name, Ryan Meadows Care Home.

Barclays has now supported Keane with more than £4.5m of funding since 2016.

The group now has six care homes, along with additional home care services, and employs more than 650 people in Scotland.

Jamie Grant, head of Barclays Corporate Banking in Scotland, stated: “Keane Premier Group is a great example of a Scottish business with family roots and genuine passion for helping people including residents, families and local communities.”
