Scottish car almost unrecognisable after late night crash leaves vehicle crushed

A Scottish driver had a lucky escape after crashing his car in Fife.

Road Police in Scotland have issued a warning to other motorists after the man was found to be positive for drugs after writing off his car.

On Saturday night (June 19), officers were called out to the scene near Thornton where the crash had occurred, leaving the car almost unrecognizable.

An image posted by officers showed the bonnet of the black vehicle almost completely crushed, with the windscreen also shattered.

Miraculously, no serious injuries had come of the collision, however police added that after being swabbed for drugs, the driver had tested positive, reports the Record.

The team also stated that the positive result had been the third they had collected in the area that evening.

In a tweet, Road Policing Scotland said:

"Another busy night at #FifeRP We attended a crash near Thornton earlier.

"Amazingly no serious injuries but the driver gave a positive drug wipe Then his lift gave a positive drug wipe That’s the 3rd tonight If convicted of Drug Driving you could lose your licence."
