Scottish and English fans in huge brawl as chairs thrown at bar after Euros semi-final

A huge brawl broke out in a pub as Scottish and English fans clashed after England secured their progress to the finals of Euro 2020.

Shocking footage shows the moment the mass brawl breaks out at the Highlander Bar, San Antonio, Ibiza, reports the Daily Record.

The video has been circulating on social media and appears to show arguments starting between customers at the Scottish bar and nearby English fans shouting "It's coming home" as punches are thrown.

In the footage, people can be seen being pushed and fighting, as others throw chairs across the street, causing mayhem.

One onlooker with a Scottish accent appears to shout: “Yes, into these English b******”, while others can be seen standing by in shock.

It came after the Three Lions beat Denmark in the nail-biting semi-final on Wednesday night.

The Daily Record have contacted The Highlander bar for comment.

England will face off against Italy at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, in the first major final the team has played for 55 years.

People are calling for a Bank Holiday if the team are successful in winning this year’s Euros.

Calls to have Monday off have intensified, with a petition being launched on the Parliament website that now has 270,000 signatures.

Even Prime Minister Boris Johnson refused to rule out the possibility of having the day off if England are successful.

During a trial to energy company Bulb’s central London headquarters on Thursday, he said: “I think that would be tempting fate; let’s see what happens.”

Schools and businesses across the country say they will open later on Monday so their pupils and employees can enjoy the celebrations if England win.

A school in Berkshire is among some that have told parents they will allow pupils to attend later so they can stay up and watch the match, which kicks off at 8pm.

The headteacher of Braywick Court School in Bray says she will give pupils a later start of 10.30am if they want it.

But England’s players have other ideas if they win. Members of the team have said they want to donate their Euros bonuses to NHS charities.

The Three Lions could share up to £9.5m in prize money if they win against Italy – and they way to donate it to good causes.

The FA will earn win around £24m in prize money if England enjoy the what would be historic win.

Around 40 per cent of that sum goes to the 26 players in the squad, who have already decided what they will do with the money.

The plan has been in place for a while now, with the players releasing a statement last May confirming they would donate the match fees to charity.

It said: “Following positive discussions with the FA, the England senior men’s squad are pleased to confirm that a significant donation from their international match fees will be made to NHS Charities Together via the #PlayersTogether initiative.

“This contribution will be taken from a fund already set aside to support a variety of worthy causes using all match fees collated since September 2018.”

So it seems there will be many a cause for celebration if England bring it home on Sunday, and the whole of Europe waits with bated breath to see how the match works out.
