A SCOTTISH airport has issued a key update for passengers planning on travelling this summer.
Edinburgh Airport has reminded people that new security rules around 100ml liquids will remain the same.
We previously told how new scanners being installed at the Scottish airport would remove the need for passengers to take liquids, gels and electronic devices out of their hand luggage before passing through security.
However, in a statement posted on Twitter/X on Tuesday, the airport said: “Please prepare for security as normal and continue to follow the 100ml liquid rules.
“New scanners are being installed at security however this is an ongoing process and the rules will not change this summer.
“Liquids must be under 100ml and put in a clear bag, and large electricals like laptops need to go in the tray with nothing covering them.”
